What if I do not have 3D models of my products yet?

Most companies start with none, and on a board it stops being the question. Drop a photograph of the product onto a board and work from there: tidy it up, put it in a room, try other finishes, and turn it into a 3D model at the point where you actually want one. Nothing has to be modelled first. If you would rather not do any of it yourself, our team models the catalogue and publishes it on your account, which is what Custom is for. And anything you capture with a phone app such as Polycam, Kiri Engine or RealityScan uploads like any other file. However it arrives, it ends up on your account and your team edits it from then on.

How do AI credits work?

Credits pay for generating things inside Luxa: images, variants and 3D models. Pro and Premium include an amount every month. On any plan, the free one included, you can buy a pack at any time without changing your plan or your billing date, and pack credits never expire. There is no exchange rate printed anywhere on this page on purpose. What a generation costs depends on what you ask for, and every operation shows its own price before it runs, so the number you need is the one in front of you rather than an average on a pricing page. On annual billing the whole year of credits arrives up front instead of month by month, which is why the monthly top-up is not offered there.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Everything already made stays exactly as it is, live and embedded, and you can keep editing and publishing. The only thing that stops is generating something new, until you buy a pack. Buying one does not change your plan and does not move your renewal date.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from your account settings at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle and unused time is prorated.

What 3D file formats are supported?

Accepted Answer

GLB and GLTF, the standard for 3D on the web. USDZ for iOS AR is generated for you when you turn AR on. For Gaussian Splatting scenes: .ply, .splat, .compressed.ply and .spz, from any standard pipeline such as PostShot, Scaniverse, Luma AI, PolyCam splat mode or the splat-transform CLI.

How big can a model be?

Free takes 25 MB per model and 100 MB in total. Pro takes 100 MB per model and 2 GB in total. Premium takes 500 MB per model and 10 GB in total. Gaussian Splatting scenes are counted separately and are 150 MB each on Free and Pro, 400 MB each on Premium.

What is a Gaussian Splatting scene, and do I need one?

Gaussian Splatting turns photographs of a real place, a room or a showroom or an installation, into a scene you can walk through in a browser. Capture it with a phone app, or train it from a video in PostShot. Luxa hosts it and adds the interactive layer: hotspots, walk mode, named cameras and an embed. Free gives you one scene that deletes itself after a day, so you can try the whole workflow before deciding. Pro keeps five, Premium keeps twenty five and can hold other viewers inside a scene.

Do I need a separate viewer for each colour or variant?

Accepted Answer

No. Each viewer carries as many colour and material variants as you like, and you can give your customer buttons to switch between them. So 25 viewers means 25 products, each with its whole range inside it.

What happens when I reach my viewer limit?

Accepted Answer

Nothing breaks. Everything already published stays live. You cannot create a new viewer until you either upgrade or free a slot by removing one.

What is a Luxa Board?

Accepted Answer

A canvas where you work on an image by putting steps beside it rather than on top of it. Redesign one part and leave the rest alone, put the product in a room, change a material, turn a sketch into a photograph. Each step keeps what you had and hands you a new picture next to it, so nothing is overwritten and any branch can be taken further.

Do I need 3D to use a board?

No. Most of what a board does is pictures: variants, backgrounds, finishes, a drawing turned into something that looks photographed. Turning one of those into a 3D model is a step you can take when you want it, not what the exercise is for.

Do boards use the same AI credits?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the same balance as the rest of Luxa, and each step shows what it costs before you run it. Cheap steps cost very little, and the expensive ones tell you so first.
